Shaving is best, but heavy lubrication works too. Body hair creates friction and can be painful when the latex pulls on it. For the best "muscle-fit" look, many men shave or trim their chest, back, and legs. If you prefer not to shave, you must use extra silicone dressing aid to create a thick barrier that allows the latex to glide over the hair.
It’s usually due to incorrect "Vertical Trunk" sizing. Men often have broader shoulders or longer torsos. If a catsuit or top is too short, it puts massive tension on these two points. Always ensure you measure your vertical trunk (shoulder, through crotch, to back) and distribute the material evenly by massaging it upward from the limbs toward the torso.
Avoid contact with copper, brass, and nickel. These metals react chemically with latex. Be careful with coins, keys, watches, and belt buckles. Even sweat can transfer metal ions from a cheap watch strap to your latex. Store items with metal zippers by wrapping the hardware in acid-free tissue paper to isolate it from the rubber.
Wash with pH-neutral soap and use heavy-duty hangers. Heavy jackets or pants trap a lot of sweat. Wash inside and out after every use. Because thick latex is heavy, it can lose its shape if hung on thin hangers. Use wide-shouldered, padded hangers and store in a cool, dark, opaque garment bag to prevent UV damage and "shelf-wear."
