Tight fit for a "second skin" look; loose fit for comfort. Most latex shorts are designed to be skin-tight to show muscle definition. However, if you want a sporty look (like basketball shorts), choose thicker latex (0.6mm+) in a loose cut. Be aware that loose latex can "clatter" or stick to itself, so always use plenty of silicone polish on the outside.
Use silicone lubricant and the "palm massage" technique. Never pull the waistband with your fingertips or nails. Apply silicone dressing aid to your hips and thighs. Slide the shorts up to mid-thigh, then use your palms to gently "massage" the material up to your waist. Ensure the crotch is fully pulled up to prevent stress on the seams.
Lubricate metal parts and support the latex. For zippers, apply silicone oil to the teeth regularly to prevent snagging. If the shorts have snap buttons, place your fingers behind the latex to support it when snapping or unsnapping. This prevents the buttons from tearing through the rubber during quick movements.
Wash immediately after use and store dry. Shorts are in direct contact with sweat-prone areas. Wash inside and out with pH-neutral soap immediately after wearing. Once 100% dry, apply a light coat of talcum powder or silicone oil. Store flat in an opaque bag. Never store them damp, as this leads to mold and a permanent "rubbery" smell.
