Use plenty of lubricant and remove all jewelry. Small accessories are often made of thin latex. Apply silicone dressing aid to your limbs. For gloves, fold the wrist outward, slide your hand in, and "massage" the fingers into place. For stockings, roll them up like silk hosiery and unroll them slowly. Never pull from the top edge with your fingertips.
Clean internal sweat and protect the lenses. Hoods trap a lot of moisture from breathing and sweat. Wash inside and out with pH-neutral soap after every use. For items with acrylic or glass lenses, avoid using abrasive cleaners. Store them with acid-free tissue paper inside to maintain the shape and prevent the latex from sticking to itself.
Isolate the metal during storage. Metal hardware (copper/nickel) can cause permanent brown stains on latex. Apply a small amount of silicone oil to zippers and buckles to prevent rust. When storing, you must wrap the metal parts in plastic film or acid-free tissue to ensure they don't touch any latex surfaces (especially white or light colors).
Store flat or loosely rolled. Never fold latex accessories tightly, as this causes permanent creases. For belts, store them laid flat in an individual opaque bag. If space is limited, roll them loosely with a layer of tissue paper in between. Ensure they are 100% dry and powdered (or polished) before sealing the bag.
